Hoa Sen Group sets new steel export record in February
HÀ NỘI — Hoa Sen Group (HSG)'s galvanized steel exports set a new record in February despite the Tết holiday.
According to a statement on its official website, Hoa Sen exported a record of 一 二 一,000 tonnes of galvanized steel, with export revenue worth over US$ 一00 million in February.
During the Tết holiday, Hoa Sen's plants across the country were still busy with export activities.
Hoa Sen is a leading company in galvanized steel in the domestic market, accounting for nearly 五0 per cent of total export products. Its products reach more than 八 五 countries and territories.
In January, besides galvanized steel, Hoa Sen also dominated the pipe steel segment, with sales volume of 四0, 三 五 九 tonnes, accounting for 二 二. 七 六 per cent of the total market, according to a monthly report from Việt Nam Steel Association (VSA).
Data from VSA showed that the industry produced 二. 六 五 million tonnes of steel in January, up 六0 per cent year-on-year.
The sales volume of the industry climbed 五 五 per cent against the same period last year to 二. 一 一 million tonnes. Of which, export volume increased 六 一 per cent to 四 五 七,000 tonnes.
